Kumihimo

Program Teachers: Dixie Nohara and Judy Cain

The May project in both CNY EGA meetings will be Kumihimo, taught by Dixie and Judy. Kumihimo is a Japanese braiding technique.

There will be a choice of three projects:

  • key chain

  • lanyard or necklace

  • scissor fob

With luck, there may be examples of some by April's meeting.

Dixie and Judy will be providing the rattail for this project; this means we will use what we have, and there will not be color choices for the projects. Your only expense will be a Kumihimo disk, which should cost under $8, and whatever metal findings are necessary for the project you choose. We will do a group order of the disks when the time gets closer and you have had a chance to sign up; if you already have a Kumihimo disk, you will be given the opportunity to indicate that.
